At Nasheko, our mission is to empower indigenous communities to contribute to the protection of our planet for future generations. Our key priority is to address extreme climate effects, an urgent crisis that is devastating indigenous livelihoods. Communities are losing 30-60 livestock per household to heatwaves, rivers are drying up.

Our Vision

We envision a world where sustainable travel is the norm. Our goal is to lead the way in ecotourism, setting a standard for responsible travel practices and demonstrating how tourism can be a force for good. Alongside projects designed to mobilize community participation, we aim to unlock impact that is driven by the communities themselves.

Our Approach

Nasheko uses a variety of approaches that aim to achieve the most optimal results for the indigenous communities we work with.

1. Experiences:Indigenous communities providing authentic, eco-friendly experiences. From cultural tours to adventure activities, they offer a range of options that support sustainable development.
2. Carbon-Neutral Travel Packages: Curated itineraries that offset carbon emissions through reforestation projects and other green initiatives. These packages ensure that your travels leave a minimal environmental footprint.
3. Ecotourism Certifications and Training: Programs designed for local communities and tourism providers to promote sustainable practices. Our training helps create eco-conscious tourism that respects and preserves the environment and culture.
4. Community Projects: Programs designed to mobilize community participation while unlocking opportunities to earn from their participation. Our current projects include Osotua and Eramatare

Voluntary Programs: Opportunities for travelers to engage in community service projects. These programs allow you to give back to the communities you visit, creating meaningful connections and lasting impacts.
